Terms of Service

You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement (13, or higher where your local law requires it) and comply with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Suzune is provided under Discord's Developer Terms of Service and Developer Policy.

Whoever adds Suzune to a server is responsible for that server's use of it.

Suzune is free. There is no paid tier, subscription, or purchase at this time.

If a paid tier is introduced later, these terms will be updated and the change announced in the support server before it takes effect. Features that are free today — anti-nuke, anti-raid, moderation, and logging — will remain free.

Don't:

• Use Suzune to break Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or any applicable law
• Use it to harass, abuse, dox, or target individuals or groups
• Deliberately abuse, overload, spam, or attempt to disrupt the service or its infrastructure
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the bot or its database
• Resell, rebrand, or present the service as your own
• Use it in a server dedicated to illegal content or activity

We may remove Suzune from any server, or block any user or server from using it, at any time and without notice, if we believe these terms have been broken. We're not obliged to explain the decision, though we usually will.

This section matters. Read it.

Suzune is a moderation and security tool, not a guarantee. Specifically:

• It operates within Discord's permission and role hierarchy. It cannot act on users whose highest role sits above its own, and it cannot act at all without the permissions you grant it.
• Anti-nuke is near-real-time, not instant. Detection is driven by Discord's audit log and gateway events, which arrive with a delay. Damage can occur before a threshold is reached and a response fires.
• Auto-revert restores structure, not history. A recreated channel does not bring back its messages. This is a platform limitation, not a bug.
• It cannot protect against everything. A server owner, or anyone with a role above the bot, can cause damage that Suzune cannot prevent. By design, Suzune never punishes the server owner — the Owner Guard feature reverts, freezes and reports instead.
• Automod is heuristic. Filters produce false positives and false negatives. Tune them for your server and review the results.
• /appwatch cannot see everything. Discord exposes no API for which members have authorised which third-party app, and user-installed apps (installed to an account rather than a server) cannot be enumerated. /appwatch reports these limits rather than hiding them.

You remain responsible for your server. Suzune reduces risk; it does not eliminate it. Do not treat it as a substitute for careful permission management, vetted staff, and backups of anything you can't afford to lose.

The service is provided on a best-effort basis. There is no uptime guarantee. It may be unavailable due to maintenance, Discord API outages, rate limiting, infrastructure failure, or issues outside our control. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature — or the whole service — at any time.

Data may be lost in the event of a technical failure. Keep your own records of anything critical.

Configuration, moderation reasons, and message templates you create remain yours. You grant us permission to store and process them solely to operate the service — see the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for what your moderators write in reason fields and message templates, and for ensuring it doesn't break these terms or Discord's.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that it will prevent any particular attack, raid, or malicious action.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, servers, communities, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

This includes — stated explicitly, because it's the scenario people ask about — damage caused by a nuke, raid, or malicious actor that Suzune failed to detect, failed to prevent, or responded to too slowly.

It also includes damage caused by Suzune acting when it shouldn't have: false-positive punishments, mistaken automod actions, or misconfigured thresholds.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator of Suzune from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of the rights of a third party.

You may stop using the service at any time by removing Suzune from your server. Data is deleted per the retention schedule in the Privacy Policy.

We may terminate or suspend access immediately for any breach of these terms. Sections 7, 8, and 9 survive termination.

These terms may be updated. Material changes will be announced in the support server and the "last updated" date will change. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
